What it's like

No work is worth much until we understand what you're actually presenting with.

Not what a program assumes about you. Not what worked for someone else. What is actually happening in your life, your body and your days — and where that leaves us standing.

How anything starts

It starts with a real conversation.

Before anything is prescribed, I want to hear what you're noticing — in your own words, as subjectively as you like. What hurts. What used to be easy. What you keep postponing. What you're tired of explaining to people.

Then I add what I can observe and measure: how you move, where you brace, what your range actually is, how your breath behaves, what your day physically asks of you. Subjective and objective sit side by side.

Out of that comes an assessment — not a diagnosis, and never a label. An honest read of the terrain you're standing on, and a plan for the first stretch of it.

  1. One

    You tell me

Your experience, in your language. Nothing has to be tidy.

  2. Two

    I observe

What can be seen and measured, without interpretation dressed up as fact.

  3. Three

    We name the terrain

An assessment, a starting point, and a plan we both understand.

Longer partnerships

The Discovery Session.

For anyone considering a longer partnership, we start here: about an hour, often over coffee, at no charge. It isn't a sales call and it isn't a consultation. It's an honest investigation before either of us commits to anything.

Some of it is vulnerable. Most people have not been asked these questions out loud before, and answering them honestly is already part of the work.

  • Where do you actually feel you are right now — not where you think you should be?

  • Where do you wish you were? What would that even feel like in your body on an ordinary Tuesday?

  • What do you believe is holding you back?

  • What has it already cost you — and what does it cost if nothing changes?

  • Where are you the obstacle in your own way?

  • What have you tried before, and what actually happened?

  • What are you unwilling to give up?

I'm not looking for the right answers. I'm looking for the honest ones.

Before anything begins

No long-term work starts without a plan you've read.

Every partnership begins with a written plan and proposal. Not a template — yours. You see it, you question it, and we adjust it before we start.

  • Inputs and insights

Everything gathered in conversation and observation, written back to you plainly, so you can tell me where I've read you wrong.

  • The terrain as I see it

The starting point. What's already working, what's carrying more load than you realize, and what's most likely to move first.

  • The practical approach

How we move from where you are now to the way you want to feel in your life — without overhauling it. Movement, mindset, habits, and general nutrition guidance where it's useful.

I'm not a nutritionist or a clinician. Nutrition guidance stays general and practical, and anything outside my scope gets referred to someone qualified.

What this actually is

To see you more clearly than you may be seeing yourself.

For some people I look like a trainer. For others, closer to a coach. For others still, I'm the person walking beside them through a transition or a hard stretch of life. What fills your day is never one size fits all, because you aren't.

What doesn't change is the intent: to meet you where you actually are, to hold that honestly, and to hand you different lenses rather than answers. Most of what we do is learning to tell the difference between the patterns, behaviors and stories that run on their own — and the quieter truth underneath them.

Quieting the noise makes that whisper easier to hear. Listening to it, and feeding it, is how you begin to trust it again. Trusting the quietest thing in the room is harder than it's ever been, and the cost isn't only mental — mind and body are reciprocal. One always feeds the other.

So we find the line you carry best, and change the conditions of your ordinary days until you can feel safe and present inside your life instead of constantly managing it, measuring it, or spending it against a goal that keeps moving further away.

Less outsourcing. Less bypassing. Less intellectualizing. More standing on the floor you're actually standing on — and discovering that what's already within reach, and how capable your organism already is of caring for itself, is more than enough. That's where steadiness comes from, as moments come and go.

On your phone, not in a browser

You add it once, and it's simply there.

There's nothing to download from an app store. The first time you sign in to your secure private environment, I show you how to add The Terrain to your home screen — one line for iPhone, one for Android. After that it opens like any other app: full screen, your own private space, a thumb's reach away.

Added once, then it lives beside everything else on your phone — opens full screen, no browser, no app store.

Inside The Terrain

Then the work arrives, one day at a time.

Clients get their own private space — The Terrain. It lives on your phone, and it opens on a single screen: Today. Not a dashboard, not a library of content you'll never finish. Just today, in the order I set it.

I write the day on my side. Nothing appears for you until I've published it. When you open it, you see what's actually asked of you now — and nothing else. Practices are marked done right there; a movement session opens into its own quiet screen. Scroll either screen below to see how a day might read.

Today — scroll inside the screen. An illustration, not a real client's day; no client information is ever shown here.

A movement session — one movement at a time, with room to log what actually happened.

What a day can hold

Three kinds of things arrive — and only what belongs to you.

The fields

Short written pieces from me: a message, an invitation to orient before you start, something to sense, something to notice afterward, something to reflect on. I choose which of them belong in a given day.

Movement

One session at a time. The movement, the sets and reps or the time, a short cue, and an optional demonstration if you want to see it. You log what you actually did — weight, reps, how it felt — and leave a word for me on anything.

Practices

Small repeatable things: water, breath, a walk after dinner, a sleep routine, a boundary around your phone. Quiet, lightweight, and easy to mark done.

What you won't find

No streaks, scores, badges or rings. No leaderboards. No dense charts. None of my planning language, categories or notes. Missing a day is information, not a failure — and it never gets held against you.

One meaningful next action, on the day it matters. That's the whole design.

In their words

What people say afterward.

Gathered over years — from private clients, from breathwork classes I teach on my own, and from classes and events I've hosted with others. Excerpted, never embellished.

One to one

Private work

Collected directly from private clients after their sessions. Some had one session; others have been working with me for a long time.

  • Within just a few minutes, Troy identified exactly where my problem areas were — and the incredible part is that I hadn't mentioned most of that to him. He was kind, patient and communicative throughout, always explaining what he was doing and helping me breathe through the deeper work. Every minute felt intentional. When I left, I felt better than I have in many, many years. My posture and stride were completely different walking home. I slept better and woke up feeling rejuvenated.

    Jim G.

    Private client, visiting Miami

  • A perfect blend of strong pressure, stretching and relaxing work. Super calm, easy presence but incredibly strong — a master of his craft. I was definitely lighter and stood a little taller. My legs and shoulders felt renewed.

    Adam S.

Private client — sore from training and travel

  • Very intuitive, yet relaxing and therapeutic. My body feels miraculously better for days.

    Brian M.

    Ongoing private client

  • Troy is intuitive and knows where tension relief is needed. My body feels great — more flexible than before the session. Keep working your magic. You're a master at your craft.

    Kam X.

Private client — tightness and recovery

  • Therapeutic, deep, focused work, with a strong focus for me on breathing. As I said when the session ended, this was a bit of an awakening. It's time for me to begin a journey of my own toward a more grounded body.

    Justin O.

Private client, in Miami for work

  • His personalized approach, attention to detail and gentle guidance made me feel comfortable and relaxed throughout each session. His knowledge and expertise have significantly improved my flexibility and reduced muscle tension. His passion for helping others is genuinely inspiring.

    Jonathan F.

Assisted stretch client — five stars, Google

  • He has made a huge difference in my mobility and flexibility, and helped me recover from contractions and pain after intense workouts. And he does all of that being a fantastic, empathetic and truly caring human being.

Where it begins

Start with the conversation.

Tell me what you're noticing. I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right person for it, and what the first stretch would look like.
